FAQ
Most frequently asked questions and answers regarding Sculptra® Aesthetic
Dermal filler injections help temporarily fill fine lines and wrinkles and also add volume to the face in desired areas such as cheeks and lips. Filler injections may also help stimulate your own natural collagen production over time. The natural beauty of your skin is enhanced as the contour and support structure is restored.
Upon arrival at your appointment, you will receive a full consultation discussing what your goals are after receiving dermal filler injections. A topical numbing cream using lidocaine will be applied to the areas to be treated. The skin will be cleansed with an antiseptic. Then using a very thin needle, the hyaluronic acid filler material will be placed in a skilled manner to fill fine lines and wrinkles, add volume to face, or correct other facial imperfections. Typically, the injections cause minimal pain. You may notice swelling or bruising after the procedure that is temporary.

Alternative procedures to help with the above listed conditions include other non-invasive treatments we also offer such as Botox and microneedling. However, for wrinkles that are more “static” in nature, filler may produce superior results. Other procedures include invasive surgical procedures (i.e. facelifts) that are much more costly, dangerous, and time-intensive.
Many dermatologists and other doctors offer hyaluronic acid fillers, but few have the needed experience to produce amazing custom results and perform more advanced techniques. The physicians at Southern Vanity have completed years of cosmetic-oriented training. We also practice the most safe and cutting-edge methods of treatment, as we make it a priority to attend numerous cosmetic training conferences and continually refine our practice.
